We are at the mid-point of our wānanga reo – two done and two to go.
So far, whānau are enjoying the challenge of broadening their knowledge of te reo o Maniapoto. The history, the language that is special to Maniapoto, the waiata and the people make up the experience that is wānanga reo. Here you have a chance to re-learn what you may have forgotten, to learn something new and to challenge, perhaps, what you thought you already knew. You have the opportunity to talk through this with pouako (teacher/exparts) and with other whānau from Maniapoto.
The relaxed environment of the people and of Otorohanga college also make the experience less scary and more like home.
Spaces are still available for those who wish to join the waka! You can catch the 21-23 April or 12-14 May session by clicking the link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H5LXPTT
