“The principal of the foodbank is that we are here for anyone…we don’t judge, we’re here to offer kai that we have available”.
The local food bank, run by the Te Kūiti Korowai Aroha Charitable Trust, has seen a high demand for food packages since the arrival of Delta in the community. Its kaimahi say that although the need has grown, they’ll continue to provide for their people, even if it means giving from their own cupboards.
