Te Kūiti Pā hosted the newly elected and returning council members this week, emphasising the strengthening of ties between Ngāti Rōrā and the Waitomo District Council. Amongst them is Ngāti Rōrā’s own Eady Tanirau Manawaiti – the sole Māori voice in council. While he’s aware of the hard work ahead of him, there’s one simple piece of kōrero that will guide him in his new role.
