TE KŪITI KAUMĀTUA BALL 2022

For over two years kaumātua from all over Te Nehenehenui have been isolated or disconnected from each other as a result of covid-19.

Over 120 Kaumātua from all over Te Nehenehenui gathered at the Les Munro Center in Te Kūiti last Friday night for the Te Kūiti Kaumātua Ball 2022. Hosted by the Ngāti Maniapoto Marae Pact Trust, in association with project partners and funders.

With entertainment from some of New Zealand’s well-known entertainers, Raymond Solomon and Doug Erutoe, the purpose of the Te Kūiti Kaumātua Ball was to help reconnect our Kaumātua with each other, bringing a little joy and laughter into their lives during these trying times.

MFM Te Reo o Te Iwi, was proud to have captured this wonderful event to honour and acknowledge the many Kaumātua of Maniapoto, Te Nehenehenui.
